In the event of your presenting the Cheque and the same getting dishonoured, the option available for you would be to proceed against the Party under either or both Criminal and Civil Law. You may file a Police Complaint for dishonour of the Cheque and also a Civil case can be filed before the jurisdictional Court for recovering the Cheque amount.
