I need to know what is the sentence for a cheque bounce of amount of 60,000aed in the emirates of sharjah? The cheque was issued as a security for credit card loan to FGB bank.

The punishment for dishonour of Cheque, by way of imprisonment, would be at the discretion of the Judge and is usually for few weeks or months, taking into consideration the background of the person involved and also the circumstances.

As it is a security Cheque for Credit Card Loan availed, it would be appropriate to negotiate with the Bank and see what best deal can be struck, for which it would always be better to seek professional help.
