Legal Question in Business Law in United Kingdom
I have been paying rent for a business accomodation for 4 years. There was a contract with the original owner. The current owners took over the company 2 and a half years ago but did not issue me with a new written lease but have continued to accept rent from me. They now have asked me to leave the premises and have given me notice of one month. Are they allowed to do this with no reason being given?

You may have security under Part II of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 but this depends on what your original Lease said and any Contemporaneous Correspondence about the terms of holding over. We would need more facts to advise in whether you have security.
