Legal Question in Administrative Law in United Kingdom
My letter signed on behalf of me.
I live & work in a hotel. A receceptionist signed for a letter that came registered mail for me. It went missing, - presumed stolen. It contained 600 of vouchers. Can you tell me if you think the hotel is legally responsible for the letter and its contents & should refund me, or am i unable to claim anything off them? Thank you.

Unless you expressly or by implication authorised the hotel to accept responsibility for this letter on your behalf, they must carry responsibility for voluntarily taking it into their care.
