Legal Question in Business Law in United Kingdom
Hello,
I have been offered shares in a new company in exchange for programming services.
The company is based in the UK. I would have to work for about an year, for a certain number of hours and I will get a certain percentage of the shares.
Can you explain what I should be aware of before embarking in such a venture? What numbers should I request from the owners?
Would I need to set up a contract to ensure personal liability protection?
Would it be better to negotiate to work for a discounted rate and somehow convert the difference into shares?
Should I specify that I want the difference to be paid back in case I get removed from the project?
Thank you very much for your help on this matter as I am a novice.
