Legal Question in Business Law in United Kingdom
Internet Website Scam
I have purchased a website for $600 which promised 100%profit payout which was due on 03/10/05 and has not been paid to my paypal account. I have sent numerous emails requesting why this has not happened. Most emails are ignored but the few times they have been answered i have been charged $25 for being rude or threatening, which i can assure you i was not. I have been charged a total of $150 for this reason! Yesterday i was told that the reason i did not receive my payout was because my fund account was negative (due to them charging me). I was so desperate to receive my payout that i paid the $75 but still no payout. Today i have been charged another $25 so my account is once again in the negative. I am extremely distressed by the treatement i have been given. What can i do to recover my money or even just to stop them trading and doing the same thing to other innocent people. Thankyou for you help.

Re: Internet Website Scam
I think the main problem you will have is that of jurisdiction. Certainly under UK law you have certain remedies for the terrible way you have been treated. If this is a UK website, may I suggest that you get in touch and I will gladly advise you free of charge of the remedies you have available.
