Legal Question in Business Law in United Kingdom

Hi - I am a supplier and I am owed �318 form a retailer. They informed me they were sellign the business and I would be payed. I have not been payed and can not get in touch with the old owner. The new owners are now trading on the same site in a similar business and name. Can I claim may money from them? Where do I stand? Thanks

If the retailer sold his entire business as a whole to another party, then it means he also sold his rights, liabilities, goodwill and all of it. So you can claim your money from the new owners and they are obligated to pay it up. If they refuse you can seek legal action against them
