Legal Question in Consumer Law in United Kingdom
Speeding fine evidence with wrong time
I have recently received a fixed penalty notice for speeding. I was the driver of the vehicle when it went through the camera but on the photographic evidence the time is wrong by over one hour. I have six people that can confirm that I and my vehicle were parked elsewhere at the time. Can I fight this? Is it worth persuing it?

Re: Speeding fine evidence with wrong time
The short answer to your question is that this could well be worth defending. The allegation is presumably that at a certain place at a certain time you exceeded the speed limit. With the evidence of your six witnesses it should be quite possible to convince a court that you did not.
You should however be aware that there is always a risk. The degree of risk involved I am quite unable to determine without further information and probably discussing the matter with you. Whether the risk is worth taking can only be a matter for you. Please feel free to get in touch and I will be happy to consider further with you.
