monies owed
I am owed money from a company i sub contracted to, i submitted an invoice on the 15th dec and again on 15th jan, how long do they legally have to pay before i can go to the small claims court.

Providing the terms of your contract with this company provided for payment on delivery of your invoice, you are fully entitled and probably should issue proceedings without further delay.
My advice is that you send a letter before action advising that if payment is not made within seven days you will commence court proceedings. Should you require assistance with this you will find much useful information on our website at:
