Legal Question in Criminal Law in United Kingdom

hi i am doing this enquiry for a friend who is in real distress

she use to work as a prostitute who has left tht work few weeks ago and trying to change her life and get into a proper job she was sort of in a relationship with a man who knew wht she did for living and sort of helped her do tht job by dropping and picking her and had monetry benifits as well. now as she is trying to change her life want to leave him and move on he is blackmailing her tht if she move on he will tell her friends family and kids abt her being a prostitute. she is really worried dont want to give in to his blackmail but no choice. she is more worried if father of her childeren founds out she will lose their coustody of herchilderen whith whom she has joint coustody of her childeren and she went in to this job to look after her childeren any way.

the enquiry is 1)wht sort of law is in palce to help her

2) which government agencies she can go for help and support so can she be free of clutches of this man with out people finding out abt har past and she knows if she stays with him she will again go back to tht job

basically wht is best course of action for her

Best go to a Citizens Advice Bureau with your friend.

With the right support she might consider telling the truth to her family (if they are open to this), and so getting the needed support to change her life.
