Legal Question in Criminal Law in United Kingdom

My questions is about my cousin he was arrested on robbing a house, but he wasn't alone his friend said to him that there was nearly half a million pounds within that house he didn't want to go inside the house but his friend was pushing him to do it he told him to go inside the hause while he was lo0oking out for cops, the thing that bothers me is that his friend didn't get arrested as well as that the cops were inside the house waiting to arrest him, but my cousine said that his friend sold the cops weed, as well other stuff but in court they were deniying it as well as that the friend didn't get any charges as well as any time in jail compeard to my cousine. At the moment he has run away from the police becouse in jail the police were covering their heads and then taking him to a room and they beated him really bad at some point he couldn't even walk, he wehn to that house just becouse he has to provide for his family and his mother at that time was having an operation as well as that his father left them, they had an advokate but he wasnt any help he wasn't telling the truth in court so i am just wonderign weather i can get any help on this at all this is not the full story so if someone can help me or give me some advice then please do let me know many thanks.
