Re: public domain ???

Copyright in TV programmes last for 50 years from the end of the year of first Broadcast. eg the copyright in Anthony Eden's Broadcast announcing the invasion of the Suez Canal in 1956 is in copyright until 1st January 2007.

In simple terms the copyright period in nearly all other Literary musical dramatic or artistic works sound recordings and films is basically 70 years from the death of the last principal creator to die eg director sreenplay writer composer etc.
