Legal Question in Family Law in United Kingdom

I have a court date for 29th Jan 2010 regarding residence of my son but I am not happy with my service from my solicitor is it too late to get a new solicitor to act for me?

You have little choice. A solicitor who you are not comfortable with is little use and the money would be better spent on your son.

The difficulty you have is finding another solicitor who is competent, affordable, and prepared to take on the case at short notice. My suspicions are that rather than expending time and effort contacting solicitors firms you would be better off looking at the issues concerning your application and you might well decide that it is something you can deal with yourself without representation. A residence order application rarely turns on legal argument but rather on the facts surrounding the care and well-being of your son and I suspect that you as the father understand what this requires more than anyone else.
