Me and my husband have broken up our relashionship has been very difficult due to a new business .In this time he has been extremly critical of me and constantly put me down and even attacked me psychically the second time my near two year old daughter saw it .He has constantly mentally abused my son and i have felt completely powerless to stop him as i am never allowd to say anything or have an opinion and .then he accuses me of being useless and a bad mother and i am lazy .Today i musterd up the strengh to leave him .however he phoned me up and threatend to take my children away from me and ile never see them again and that ile spend the rest of my life a useless lazy waste of space .I am really scared and not sure how he stands as a father and legal rights we live in uk and his name was on the birth cirtificate .I know im not a brilliant human being and have made mistakes and i am willing to state that if need be but i love my kids and would do anything to protect them and am really worried that he will take them away from me i have a six year old from a previous relashionship but my husband has bought him up and my daughter is nearly two .what can i do ? to make sure that this is all as peacful as possible what are my rights

Re: custordy
fortunately you do not have to be a brilliant human being to be a brilliant mum. The only important issue here is what is in your children's best interest and I have no doubt that this will require them to continue living with you.
Quite clearly your husband is a bully and you must not allow this to undermine your self-confidence.Your children's well-being depends upon you being strong and putting together a a new and secure home for them. The law will assist you to do this and in we can help in any way please get in touch.
