division of money from personal injury

I am in the process of a divorce.

i have recieved compensation for vibration white finger.

i recieved approximatelt �7,300-00...out of this there is �5,600-00 left, is my ex wife due to any of this

and if so why....i am the one with the disability, and the pain, not her.

the compensation award you have received is I am afraid relevant to the matrimonial financial settlement. That is not to say however that the money must go to your wife. The court will consider the money as an amount available to you for your future maintenance, but should be made aware that it is in effect compensation for your pain and suffering.

It is not possible to take this aspect of your financial affairs in isolation when considering your position. We would be happy to advise further if requested on the proper settlement in your divorce.
