I am an British citizen, my husband is American. We got married in England. We currenlty live in the U.S. If I wanted to file for divorce, where could I do it?

Re: Divorce
No matter what country you are a citizen of nor where you were married, if you were married legally under any jurisdiction's laws you can be divorced in any state where you meet the requirements which are usually things like having lived in the state for at least six months. Some places, like Carribean islands and Nevada have much shorter residency requirements.
Good luck
Re: Divorce
You would file for your divorce in the state where you have established legal residency or domicile and, if such state happens to be the Commonwealth of Virginia, after you have met the conditions which are applicable to your particular situation and which are outlined in Sec. 20-91 of the Code of Virginia.
