Dear Sir/Madam
I have got Divorce absolute in January
2007 when I was away from the UK but no mention of asset at all on it what happen to the financial settlement deferent lower been telling me deferent answer some says the financial is open me x-wife can comeback and ask for financial settlement anytime she feel like it some say�s only 6 years she can go back some say�s when the absolute granted is over how can I find out what is the true answer and if any think standing will it not be mention on the divorce documents, no one approach me until now when I will be approach to still the finance?. Is it over please do you have a straight answer to this question .

It is not possible to apply for financial orders once decree absolute has been pronounced. However it is usual for this application to be made in the divorce petition and I suspect that this will be your case. If so then an application to proceed can be made up until such time as the applicant remarries. The statutory limitation period of six years is quite irrelevant.
It sounds as if you should be making an application for a clean break to finally bring to an end any financial consequences of this marriage.
