i have been married for six months. i bought my home before my marriage and is in my name only i have paid the mortgage myself. my husband has put a matrimonial right on my house. is he entitled to anything ? where do i stand ?

Hi

I think the answer here is that your husband has a right to make a claim on your property as a consequence of your marriage but will have no entitlement to it or anything else by reason of the marriage being social lived and him having made no contribution.I say this on the presumption that the marriage is not succeeding and will be dissolved as soon as possible after 12 months. What you should have done of course it is enter into a prenuptial agreement before you got married.
