divorce pension settlement
as part of my divorce settlement 12 years ago my ex wife was earmarked a portion of my future pension by a court order. she has since remarried and she and her new husband have now retired. is she still entitled to any of my pension when i retire? i will receive an annual pension plus a lump sum

Re: divorce pension settlement
If the provision that you pay a portion of your pension to your former wife was incorporated in an order of the court, then I am afraid that this will stand despite 12 years having elapsed. It is in theory possible to apply to the court for a variation of the order, but such an application would only be likely to succeed if your circumstances and those of your former wife have unexpectedly changed from those foreseen at the time the order was made.
