Legal Question in Family Law in United Kingdom

Can she take my kids?

My girlfriend left me and my two kids (7 and 4 yrs) 3 years ago and has hd minin=mal contact with them since. She suffers with severe depression and is not mentally stable. As an unmarried father on benefits can she turn up and take them away. Is there any way of stopping her?

Re: Can she take my kids?

If you have not already done so, it is essential that you obtain an order for parental responsibility so that you might have the legal right to care for and make decisions regarding your children. It is possible that a residence order might also be required.

All that is necessary for you to obtain a parental responsibility order is available from our website at minimal cost. It is a straightforward process which you can quite easily carry out yourself and you can always call on us if you have any doubts or difficulties.
