Legal Question in Family Law in United Kingdom

I live and have permenant stay in the UK. I have a 7 year old son who lives with his mother in Jamaica.

How do I go about applying for sole custody of my son so he can come and reside with me in the UK. The reason is the mother of my child is having great difficulty in all aspect managing with our son.

If your son is resident in Jamaica it will be necessary for you to apply through the Jamaican courts for permission in order that he might come and live in the UK with you.
