Legal Question in Family Law in United Kingdom
I am in the middle of divorce proceedings. I have attained a Decree Nisi.I have been in discussion with my ex re financial arrangements prior to applying for Absolute. Can I forge a new relationship without the need to worry about the financial implications i.e. cohabitation etc. We have reached agreement and it seems to be progressing, however I have become involved with someone else and I'm not sure were I stand.

It would be wise to finalise the financial arrangemenbts arising from your marriage before becoming involved in a new relationship. There would seem to be no reason why a consent order cannot be obtained without delay and certainly within a week or so. Once the order is made you will be free to carry on with your life.
