Legal Question in Family Law in United Kingdom

ordered to let you back into my property

I split out with my ex-girlfrined who I was living with a year ago, I've been trying to arrange and negotiate with her throug severals solicitors (with no success and paying lot;s of money) the financial arrangement for the house we use to live and own together, She has not been very responsive toward any agreements. She has also changed the looks of the house and I have no access to my own home.

How can I legally now gain access to my own property and how can also enforce the sale so we can both go our different ways

Re: ordered to let you back into my property

Although the problem you are facing is very common, the legal position is very clear and the remedy straightforward. If your former girlfriend will not agree with you the arrangements for the jointly owned house, then the house has to the sold. You have an absolute right to obtain an order for sale from your local court, and the process for applying is quite straight forward.

My advice is that without further delay and certainly without further expense, you should apply to the court for an order that the property be sold. Have a look at our web site at www.legal-zone.co.uk where there is considerable further information and where the procedure for applying for an order for sale is set out.
