Legal Question in Family Law in United Kingdom

My partner was married in the Carribean Island of St Kitz, she seperated from her husband 12 mths later and they have been apart for over 6 years. She wants to file for divorce but is struggling getting hold of a copy of the marriage certificate and her husband is delaying. Should a copy of the certificate be held anywhere in England

your partner will need to apply to the church or registry office in St Kitts where she got married. There will not be a copy of the marriage certificate in the UK. her husband's involvement will not be required for this.
