what rights do i have as a father with regards to seeing my daughter?

The law does not provide a parent with rights over their child but will act to ensure a child's welfare. Therefore you do not have any rights to see your daughter but she has the right to see you. As this is exactly the same thing you should apply for a contact order straight away and stop messing about.
