Taking children out of the county

Is my soon to be ex wife allowed to move out of the country and take my children with her with out my consent ?

You will have parental responsibility for your children and as such they cannot be removed from the UK without either your agreements or leave of the court.

If it looks as if your wife is proposing to take them overseas without obtaining your agreement you should make an immediate application to the court for a prohibited steps order. Full details on how you may do this are available from our website.
