if a solicitor is an executer of a will, along with a family member, will they charge for this or can they claim a percentage of the estate?

Re: wills
A solicitor or other professional person may only charge for acting as an executor if the will so authorises payment by way of a charging clause. The general rule is that an executor is not entitled to payment.
