Legal Question in Civil Litigation in United Kingdom

Question about 'Terms and Conritions' of competitions

I work in telesales and won an incentive worth 1500. I will not be receiving this because two weeks after the prize draw was made they informed me of terms and conditions that i do not fulfil. These T&C were not promoted with the incentive and were never mentioned until i left the company, and thus broke a term and condition of a minimum employment length after the prize draw. I would like to know whether i have any legal rights to the prize because participants were never told there were any additional terms and conditions other than those that i met (having my raffle ticket pulled out of a hat). Thank you for your assistance.

Re: Question about 'Terms and Conritions' of competitions

it is not open to the organiser of a prize draw to change the terms and conditionsof the draw once it has taken place. If you satisfied all the conditions when entering the draw you became entitled to the prize on winning. Accordingly it would seem quite certain and subject to consideration of the terms and conditions that you have a claim to the prized which would be enforced through the courts.

Please let me know if we can help further.
