Legal Question in Immigration Law in United Kingdom
dual U.S. British citizenship
I am interested in learning whether I can obtain dual U.S. British citizenship. My mother was born in England in 1938 and naturalized to the U.S. in the 1960's. My father was a U.S. citizen by birth. I am a U.S. citizen by birth. Will this be possible and if so, what will it entail?

It will tell you everything you need to know. I can't directly answer the question, because I don't know, for instance, whether your mom is still a British subject.
Read the linked page, and all the FAQ pages. Everything is there.
If qualified, you can become a British national without giving up your US citizenship. If you can do this, it is well worth it, because half the world opens to you.
A friend of mine was actually born in the UK, but is a US citizen. I'm working with him to get his UK registration.
Good luck!
