Legal Question in Immigration Law in United Kingdom

Dual Citizenship Question

I have always been told by my parents that I have dual citizenship both in the US and in the UK since I was born in Bermuda to military parents--but I can find no documentation on this. Where would I begin to try to find out if this is true or not?

Re: Dual Citizenship Question

If your parents were both USC's at the time of your birth, you are a USC. They may have registered your birth with the American Consulate in Hamilton, Bermuda. If so, the Dept of state in DC would have a record. If not, you can file an N-600 application with your local INS office with proof of your Birth & your parents USC status & obtain a cert of citizenship. You can also apply for a US passport.
