can a grandmother who acquired british citizenship via naturalisation apply to register her granddaughter born in the uk whose single-parent daughter is under her care?

The application would depend on what nationality the mother of the child is, rather than the grandmother, as it is the mother's nationality that is important, not the grandmother.
