Legal Question in Immigration Law in United Kingdom
Grounds for a student visa to be revoked or a student to be deported.
I was wondering would a criminal offence such as Assault be enough to have a student deported?

When deciding whether or not to deport a foreign national who has committed a criminal offence, the Home Office will look at the seriousness of the offence and also the length of sentence.
Assault may be serious enough for a deportation order to be issued, but it would depend on the circumstances of the case and the sentence the person received.
