If immigration were looking for me 2 years ago can i still apply under 14 year rule i was not at home at the time

14 year long residence is used for people who have been in the country without valid leave to remain and so as such, being illegal does not necessarily prevent you from applying.
However, if you are intending to apply for 14 years long residence it is very important that you submit lots of evidence and have a strong case, as it is very difficult to prove in most cases, without the documentary evidence.
