Legal Question in Immigration Law in United Kingdom
I am married to an EU citizen (my wife is Hungarian and so is my son) i have been given the temporary 5 year stay, which expires in November. My questions are: what forms do i need to make an application to a more permanent one? how much will it cost me? and what are my rights after making this application? i.e am i still allowed to work while i wait for a decision?

The UK Border Agency will have issued you with a "Residence Card", as confirmation of your right of residence in the UK.
You can use form EEA4 to apply for permanent residence in the UK, but this requires that your wife was excercising her "treaty rights" in the UK for these 5 years. You will generally still be able to work while the application is pending.
The application itself is free, but a solicitor/adviser may charge you for their services.
It is important that your wife was working or in self-employment or excercising one of the other treaty rights. If you would like to discuss this further, please contact me on 07789294662. We have years of experience in immigration law and may be able to help you.
