Legal Question in International Law in United Kingdom

birth rights

I was born in 1967 in the uk while my father was serving in an embassy there. I applied for a brithish passport but was refused citing diplomatic immunity. I have been told this is not correct because there is an international law binding the uk. i supposes that as i turn 18 years of age i can apply. i need to know if this is true and if i am entitled to residency otherwise.

please advise.

Re: birth rights

Your best bet would be to contact a lawyer based in UK to advise you on this.

I personally think that the applicable law would be a UK local law. But from experience you should be entitled to a passport if you can conclusively prove you were born in UK at the date. Provision of your birth certificate and the knowledge of the borough you were born in, that is if you do not have a birth certificate would go long way in helping trace you documents.
