Legal Question in International Law in United Kingdom

Polish Law

My son, English, teaches in Poland and has fathered a boy, with a local lady, the child is registered in both parents name, the mother is now sueing for maintainance, fair enough, but under Polish law if he were to default for any reason, on payment the mother has the right to claim against the granparents, now Poland is part of the EEC can any judgment made this way be legally binding within the UK.

Re: Polish Law

IF what you say is possible under Polish laws & she gets a final verdict in the same context from Polish courts, then by all means this can be binding for execution within your jurisdiction & in fact the EEC laws aim at facilitating the enforcement of judgements in different countries under it. Of course, you will have the right to present your objections upon notification, which is why the best thing you can do is opt for a UK litigation lawyer specialized in these matters to help you see if there are any precedents under British law that might be in favor of your case.
