Legal Question in International Law in United Kingdom

Property Abroad

I am from the UK. I recently purchased a house in France via a leaseback arrangement. I can't continue to pay the mortgage now. Can you tell me how this effects me if i default? Specifically how it affects my UK credit rating.

Re: Property Abroad

In short, they will cease the house in France as it's the guarantee for the mortgage & sell it in auction to cover for your debt as well as the court fees they endured to finalize the process & whatever is left of the money, if any, will be returned to you! By the way, you will be notified of this process at your known address kept at the bank..

My understanding is that it won't have any influence on your credit rating in the UK as the debt would be settled in France.
