confiscation of personal items
recently i used my ipod at work when my manager saw me with it she confiscated it i'm not sure that she is allowed to do this and would like to know if they can also anything on the use of personnal walkman at work would be very usefull

your manager does not have the right to seize and keep your I pod. she must return it or otherwise this will constitute a theft. Whether or not you are allowed to use such equipment and work will depend upon your contract of employment.
