employment

an ex employee so me working in my job other day and someone from my ex employer has called my current employer to tell them why i left my last job.

i have paid for my mistake and as its 6 months on now was looking forward to the future but this has fetched it all back up to the surface again and my current employer wants to talk all about it and i could lose my job over it .

are they allowed to do this ? i know the person who saw me . and can i do anything to stop this happening again .

i am going to write to my ex employer .
