My partner is currently a manager of a retail store in his local city. Head office has asked himif he would like to manage the the store 15 miles away which he does not, however the area manager has stated that he will be forced to go even if he refuses. can this be done?

Re: forced location change

The answer here depends entirely upon your partners contract of employment. If this sets out a place where he must work then that will govern the situation. If the contract is silent on this the position will depend upon what is reasonable and usual for managers with his company. Let us know if we can help further.
