termination of employment

i gave my work 1 weeks notice, as required, but only worked 4 days of the notice, they say i am in breach of contract and wont pay my final months salary (approx �1000 for the days that i worked ) they say i need to complete an appraisal and on completion of that they will review the situation and act on the outcome of the appraisal.
