ive been conned

Hi,

leased my lock up shop out on 8th may with a deposit and agreement for 4 weeks in advance. The deposit payment returned by bank.will not give new deposit.I Still have keys but new tenent wont give back other key.and told me i have lost out.

lease was a 6 mth short hold.no deposit no rent no shop!

please email or phone as first tenant have a problem with, and im already loosing money. Technically lease is void.

just some basic advice please, he said would give back keys but keeps changing his mind. Also not trading..

Your remedy here depends entirely upon whether you wish to risk further time and money pursuing this clearly worthless person. If so it is open to you to bring court proceedings on the dishonoured cheque and seek an order for the return of the keys. Otherwise you may decide to simply take possession and change the locks.
