Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in United Kingdom
Living Together
My girlfriend of 18 months is about to move into my flat (130k of mycapital, 27k mortgage). If she contributes to the mortgage / bills is she entitled to anything if we were to break up? Is there a way of her contributing to the running of the flat but without being able to make any claim on my property ?

Re: Living Together
The important thing is for you and your girlfriend to sign a cohabitation agreement before she moves in with you. This will deal with all the financial aspects of your relationship and can cover what contributions she will make to the household budget and can contain a clause that by so doing she will not become entitled to any share or interest in your property.
