Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in United Kingdom
I have not paid my housing benefits to my landlady for the past 4 months. Unfortunately i am unemployed and the only money i recieve is JSA and housing benefits. For the past 2 months i have had nothing but problems from the job centre and i haven't recieved very much money to live on, so i have been using my housing benefits for food and essentials. My landlord rang the council because i said to them that they haven't been paying me yet. The thing is, i didn't want to pay her anyway, she opens my post, comes into my flat whenever she feels like it, blocks the fire escapes and makes so much noise i never ever get a good night sleep.. Now she is threatening me, saying that i will not be able to leave the address alive. She has the local pikey family after me. What do i do?
