mitvik.co.uk is a Web-site selling televisions to consumers. It consists of nothing
more than a series of pictures of televisions with prices alongside, which when clicked
on, convert to an order form for consumers to fill in with their name, address and
payment card details. Once this has been filled in, the consumer clicks on a �DONE�
icon, and the words �Thank You� appears on the screen. There is nothing more to the
Web-site. When the televisions are delivered they are accompanied by no more than a
slip of paper containing an email address and the words �Thank You�.
1.) mitvik.co.uk asks you whether the law requires it to give any more information to users than it already does. Advise them what information, if any, they need to give.

Both the The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 and the The Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002
Require the e-tailer to provide a greater degree of information than the example set by the questioner. The first contract can be cancelled and the second rescinded subject to the rescision being de- affirmed by a court.
