Diqualification

Hi there.

My licence was revoked by the court. I was disqualified but there was no mention from the judge or the court of me having to re-sit my test. I thought that you only had to re-sit a test again if ordered to do so in court? I received a letter from my lawyer soon after the court case telling me that nearer the time when my ban ends i should apply for the re-issue of my driving licence. The dvla also sent me a letter telling me what i should do if i wish to apply for a new licence.

I thought as i had obtained a clean licence for longer the preliminary period of 2years that i maybe wouldn't have had to re-sit any type of test again....Thanks.

Hi.

It does not make any difference whether or not your licence is more than 2 years old, if it is revoked. Re: re-sitting for theory and road tests, DVLA would also have told u the same. For 2 years period, the difference is in the number of points u may have on it, 6 for new licence and 9 for more than 2 years old licence.
