Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in United Kingdom

Hi, me and my boyfriend of 10 years recently broke up after having two children together. We were never married but we lived together. I moved into a house he had bought and he paid the mortgage so i paid the household bills. He said to me that he could not cope financially without my help and that i would always have a home in his house. I have continued to work and spent an estimated over 100,000 on clothes and food and paying bill etc for the family. I am aware that i might be entitled to a beneficial interest in the property and was wandering whetehr anyone can offer any advice on which route i might take. Having studied a small bit of law a long time ago i am aware that under Lloyds Bank v Rosset i may be able to establich this in two ways but i am unsre whetehr i have enough infomration to establish an oral agreement. Any help woul dbe greatly appreciated Thanks

Hi.

You will probably appreciate from what you learned a while ago that this is a fairly complex legal area where you will probably need to establish one of a variety of trusts. Quite impossible to give an opinion without further information as the detail of what was agreed is essential. We have a fact sheet available for download at

Alternatively you could submit details to one of our lawyers who will provide an advice for 15 at:
