Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in United Kingdom

My dead dad's will

Over 2 years ago my father passed

away. He was living with a long term

partner as he divorced my mother

when me and my two siblings were

small. He did leave a wil and it was

left to his partner to see his children

ok (and vice versa, if she died he

would see her three children ok).

Unfortunately my dad died just

before he was going to leave his long

term partner as they had had major

problems in their relation for many

years. My dad had always promised

me that his partner would see his

children all right and that he had a

lot of investments, stock & shares

etc. His partner did give a small

amount to me and my siblings after

a while but that was it. She is now

selling their home for over £500,000

and down sizing to a smaller home.

She never contacted us to tell us

about the move and she will not give

us anything else although it was

promised. We also never saw a copy

of the will. The biggest problem is

that we never really liked her and

she never really liked us, but for my

fathers sake we tolerated each other.

I know my father would be very

unhappy with the outcome, and

would like to do somthing about it.

Can anybody please advise.

Re: My dead dad's will

hi

Your first step must be to obtain a copy of the will left by your father. This may be obtained from the Probate Registry. It will then be a question of determining whether the executor appointed in the will has carefully carried outyour late father's wishes. We will be happy to assist further if instructed.
