An english lady dies in America in hospital and she is not insured and the estate pays the bill, to whom does the residue of the estate go?

The residue of the estate will go her legal heirs.
Where a person dies does not affect her estate but it is a requirement of law that all outstanding debts and all creditors be paid off first from the estate before it is handed over to the heirs.
