my father died recently and left everything to me in his will, but he named the solicitors as the executors, I cannot afford to pay them the �190/hr fees they charge, is there a way i can do this for myself...

this is very unfortunate. Unfortunately if the solicitors were appointed as executors in the will they are entitled to wind up the estate and charge a reasonable fee. In all probability you would be able to deal with the administration yourself and I suggest that you speak with them and try to come to an agreement that you carry out some of the work yourself.
